Experience and background Gary Hay is the Managing Director of the company and has over 20 years experience in physical and electronic security. In 1980, he was appointed to the Senior Technical Specialist position for Security and Fire systems at Telecom National Headquarters. This position was responsible for the selection of equipment and writing of policy and standards for Telecom sites in Australia. He represented the public sector on 2 security related Australian Standards Committees and a working group that selected security systems and components for Australian national security applications. In 1987, he was appointed as Major Projects Security Co-ordinator at ANZ Bank Headquarters. In a 3-year period, he successfully co-ordinated the installation at 12 major or critical sites throughout Australia of integrated access control, alarm and CCTV systems. In 1990, Gary transferred to Queensland as State Security Manager for the ANZ Banking Group, where he performed risk assessments and designed the security to protect the assets and staff at over 300 sites in both Queensland and Northern New South Wales. In this position he attended and analysed over 50 armed robberies. In 1997, he formed Security Consulting Australia & Pacific Pty Ltd. The company has focused on security reviews including site inspections, threat and risk assessments for financial, retail, corporate and commercial clients.
