Private Pilot Licence & Night Visual Flight Rules
As we move along, the next licence is the PPL. The holder of this licence is now capable of carrying passengers anywhere in Australia. Just imagine you could be flying to Sydney, Cairns or Birdsville for the annual races or simply anywhere that takes your fancy.

For this licence we use Cessna 172's and a Piper Warrior. Both aircraft types can be used for the PPL and NVFR. But let's go back a little. You have another examination to be passed which covers Meteorology, Navigation and Flight Rules and Procedures.

The PPL licence consists of a series of cross country exercises.

You can now do the NVFR which will enable the holder to fly at night in good weather. There is no exam required for the NVFR.
