ECN 4G delivers performance internet using Optus 4G technology. 4G is a great solution for small data usage, fast bandwidth or when used as a backup connection.

Information about the Service

Description of the Service:

ECN 4G is delivered using the Optus 4G Network to provide a fast internet connection. Speeds on the Optus 4G network are dependant on the service received by the 4G device.

Bundling:

ECN’s 4G is not offered as a bundled service.

Hardware:

4G services can be connected via two methods:

  • USB dongle connected to a single device
  • 4G Modems that can be plugged into multiple devices

ECN can sell compatible dongles and modems to you preconfigured, for the cost of these devices see the 4G Application form or contact ECN directly.

If you already have a dongle / modem or would like to source your equipment elsewhere, ECN will provide you connection details which you will need to enter into the device yourself.

Minimum Term:

4G Services are available on a month-to-month or 12 Month contract term. 12 Month Term applies to all standard 4G connections unless specifically advised otherwise.

Your monthly charge is determined by your selected 4G Service Plan a summary of Plan Charges is included in the table below along with a cost per MB of included data:

Excess Usage:

Usage is calculated on Upload and Download data going across the 4G service.  Excess usage charges will be if you exceed you monthly data allowance within the period allotment. Our 4G services will allow you to use over your monthly data allowance with excess data charged at $0.08 / MB. 

Each 4G plan has a disconnection limit, where you will be unable to continue to use the service past. This limit is advised below:

  • 1GB Post Paid 4G: 1GB allowance, 10GB disconnection limit
  • 3GB Post Paid 4G: 3GB allowance, 10GB disconnection limit
  • 5GB Post Paid 4G: 5GB allowance, 15GB disconnection limit
  • 7GB Post Paid 4G: 7GB allowance, 20GB disconnection limit
  • 10GB Post Paid 4G: 1GB allowance, 20GB disconnection limit
  • 15GB Post Paid 4G: 1GB allowance, 20GB disconnection limit

Setup Fees:

4G setup fees depend on the type of installation requested:

  • Service Activation on 12 Month Contract, $30.00
  • Service Activation on Month-to-Month Contract, $45.00

Cancellation & Early Termination Fees:

  • If you are on a 12 month contract term the maximum early termination fee applicable is $150.00 if you cancel within the first 12 Months
  • Cancelling the service outside of your contract term incurs no termination fee, invoices issued prior to cancellation will still be due for payment.
